Testimonials

It is a pleasure to recommend Jeremy Goodman as a composer and arranger of tremendous talent and industry. I have worked with Jeremy on numerous occasions and he has delivered every time. Jeremy really knows how to energize an arrangement and give it a special sound. He has internalized the 1950’s sound world of Nelson Riddle and updated it. He can be cutting edge or retro depending on what the arrangement needs. Jeremy is also an extremely quick study. In all the times we have worked together, I cannot remember once that he was not on time or early in delivering the completed arrangement. Jeremy is also very good at transcribing existing arrangements of public domain music from recordings. I have heard a number of Jeremy’s original compositions on recordings. His piccolo concert, titled “Screaming Twig” is a really delightful and clever piece. I hope to perform some of Jeremy’s original music in the future.

Jeremy Goodman is very talented and a true professional. I recommend him to you with great enthusiasm and without reservation.

Compton & Bennett has worked professionally with Jeremy for more years than his young age might indicate. He has scored four complete shows for us, orchestrated two, and conducted the studio sessions for our CD. He plays a similar role in the process of producing our next CD.

Jeremy also music directs and plays for some of our live performances. The local musicians he conducts for these, and for the CDs, are well-rehearsed and well-prepared.

In our opinion, Jeremy is in the salads days for a remarkable career in music. He adds value to everything he handles. We consider it a feather in our cap that we get to work with him.

It has been my pleasure to work with Jeremy Goodman over the past many years. His several arrangements for the concerts I conducted with the National Symphony Orchestra (Kennedy Center) and the Cleveland Orchestra were some of the best I know. He has a rare sense of style that spans popular music from the 1920s until today. Be it folk rock, classical, high 1960’s “Hollywood Palace” style, or early Ellington swing, Jeremy captures the essence of each era and transforms it into a performing vehicle for symphony orchestras. On top of being a talent of rare ability, Jeremy is also a complete pleasure to collaborate with and is eager to get the exact sound that you want. He also works quickly and produces scores and parts that are flawlessly assembled. I always look forward to working with Jeremy since he does so much more than arrange - he brings lost musical eras to life.

In his role as music supervisor and orchestrator on Under the Overture, Jeremy brings not just his consummate musical skills to the table, but solid dramatic instincts as well. This, combined with the wit, enthusiasm, and energy he brings to the project, makes him a real pleasure to work with!

Jeremy Goodman is an artist, producer, arranger and wonderful pianist, a kind of cross between Chick Corea and George Duke with a Broadway flair. Jeremy is an up and coming musician to be recognized as pure talent.

Jeremy composed a three-movement bassoon Fantasy for me which I premiered in Florida and later performed at the International Double Reed Society conference in New York City. It is a complex and challenging work spanning the entire range and colors of the instrument. I have also worked with Jeremy on other projects. He is a gifted composer, talented artist and great friend.
