About Me

Jeremy Franklin Goodman is a composer, pianist, conductor, music director, arranger, and orchestrator.  He completed his Master of Music in Film Scoring and his Bachelor of Music in Music Composition at New York University.  He has studied privately with Justin Dello Joio, Michael Patterson, Joseph Church, Kathleen Riley, Rich Shemaria and Julie Bearden.

Jeremy brought his sold out Latin jazz big band concert “Rhapsody in Latin Jazz” to Harmony in the Woods to close their 2023 summer music festival in the Poconos. Recently, he collaborated with Glory Crampton as the music director for “PROJECT 9” which won 3 Telly Awards including the 2021 Gold Telly Award for Best Music Video.

Jeremy was the music director and pianist for “ANNIE TURNS 40: Back to the Orphanage” starring Andrea McArdle, Sarah Jessica Parker, Shelley Bruce, Alyson Kirk, and Allison Smith.  Two reunion performances with additional members of the original cast of Annie took take place on April 30th, 2017 at The Winery at St. George in Mohegan Lake, NY.  CBS featured a special from the event on CBS’s “Sunday Morning” series on June 11th, 2017.

Goodman's arrangements have been played by orchestras and other ensembles including The National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, The Black Rock Philharmonic at The Burning Man Festival, The Cleveland Symphony Orchestra, The Dearborn Symphony Orchestra, The Kingwood Pops Orchestra, The Manhattan Symphonie Orchestra, The Maui Pops Orchestra, The Naples Philharmonic Orchestra, The Pacific Northwest Ballet & Seattle Opera Orchestras, The Plano Symphony Orchestra, The Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, The University of Notre Dame Symphony Orchestra, The Vancouver Pops Orchestra, The Venice Symphony Orchestra, The Waterbury Symphony Orchestra, and The SONOS and New Century Chamber Orchestras.

As a pianist, Jeremy Franklin Goodman has played thirty-nine different musicals: The Marvelous Wonderettes, Matilda, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Addams Family, Escape to Margaritaville, A Christmas Carol, Peter and the Star Catcher, Something Rotten, Mary Poppins, Bright Star, I Love My Wife, The Wedding Singer, A Chorus Line, Over Here!, Catch Me If You Can, Legally Blonde, Young Frankenstein, Into The Woods, Brooklyn, The Drowsy Chaperone, Chess, High Society, Les Miserables, Grand Hotel, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, All Shook Up, Company, Cats, Tommy, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Hair, Cabaret, Leader of the Pack, Back to Bacharach and David, Mack & Mabel, High School Musical, Anything Goes, Footloose, & Starmites.  In addition, he has performed some of his own compositions in Florida and New York City.  He has several contemporary classical works for smaller chamber ensembles to full orchestra that are available for performance.  His original Latin jazz music can be heard on his CD entitled The Jeremy Franklin Goodman Project: An Evening of Live Latin Jazz. Jeremy is the pianist and musical director for cabaret performer Elle Rose, who had her debut performance at Don’t Tell Mama in New York City.

Goodman has collaborated with various writing teams both in New York and Florida.  He is the orchestrator, arranger, and music supervisor for the new comedy for opera singers entitled “UNDER THE OVERTURE” by Ronald Kaehler of New York, NY.  Jeremy served as the music director for the October 2018 presentation of highlights from the show at the West End Theatre. In addition to serving as the music director and accompanist for touring performances across the US, Goodman orchestrated, arranged and musically supervised “ASSISTED LIVING: The Musical” and the holiday themed sequel entitled “THE HOME...for the holidays” by Rick Compton and Betsy Bennett of Naples, FL.  The shows are licensed across the country by Steele Spring Stage Rights and the holiday show was filmed for national streaming through Broadway On Demand, Vimeo, and Watch Live! He also works with Donald Yonker of New York, NY on his show “Pastiche” and JJ Novembrini with his musical “Not Another High School Musical.”
